This policy explains how Streakie ("the app"), published by The Product People, handles information when you use it to track your habits.
Streakie is published by The Product People. For any privacy question, contact hello@theproductpeople.se.
Streakie stores your habits, check-ins, pauses and settings in a file on your device. The Home Screen widget reads the same file through a shared container on the device, so it can show and update your habits. None of this is sent to us or anyone else.
To see which parts of Streakie are useful, the app sends anonymous usage statistics: which screens and features are used (for example "a goal was created", "a check-in was made", "a pause was started"), with coarse details such as the type of goal (daily, weekly, avoid), streak length or number of goals, plus app version, iOS version and device type.
Never sent: goal names or anything you type, your check-in history, your name, email, location, contacts or the advertising identifier. The statistics use a random identifier created by the app; it is not linked to you, your Apple ID or any other app, and no personal profile is created.
Who receives it: the statistics are processed on our behalf by PostHog on servers in the EU and used only to improve Streakie. They are not sold, shared or used for advertising.
Rather not? Turn off Share anonymous usage statistics under Settings → Privacy and the app stops sending immediately.
If you use iCloud or iTunes device backups, Apple may include the app's data in your backup under Apple's own privacy terms.
If you allow notifications, Streakie schedules reminders locally on your device. No push server is involved and no notification content leaves the phone. You can change or turn off reminders in the app's settings or in iOS Settings.
When you tap Share, Streakie creates an image of your streak and opens the iOS share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you choose where to send it, and what happens afterwards is governed by the app you share to.
If you challenge a friend or do a goal together, Streakie shares that one goal through Apple iCloud (CloudKit sharing) in your own iCloud account. The shared goal, the first name you enter and your daily check-ins for that goal are visible to the friends you invite, and theirs to you. Your other goals and data are never shared. We run no server for this and cannot read the shared data; Apple stores it under its own privacy terms. Leaving or ending a shared goal stops sharing; your history in it stays visible to the others as part of that shared goal.
Streakie does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
You can delete any habit inside the app. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
